Essential oils for hair

Hair is a reflection of what is happening in our bodies. In case of stress, fatigue, or because of a poor lifestyle, the hair becomes tired. Dry, dull, brittle, it can start to fall (read Hair biology & Health and hair care). Essential oils can help strengthen fragile hair and increase its shine, as well as reactivate blood microcirculation and rebalance the scalp to restore beautiful and healthy hair.

Rosemary essential oil

This essential oil is rich in camphor and 1.8-cineol, which are molecules with anti-inflammatory, decongestant, and tonic properties. The essential oil of Rosemary will therefore have a relaxing action and will activate blood circulation in the scalp. Purifying, it will also help to eliminate elements that can choke the scalp and help fight dandruff.

Cypress essential oil

Rich in α-pinene, Cypress essential oil has decongestant properties. Applied to the scalp, it will reactivate the blood and lymphatic circulation, essential for the growth and beauty of the hair.

Ylang-ylang essential oil

Thanks to the compounds Germacrene D, β-caryophyllene, α-farnesene and benzyl benzoate, the essential oil of Ylang-ylang is stimulating and toning. It will bring strength and shine to the hair. The anti-inflammatory properties of these same molecules will calm scalp irritations.

Cedar essential oil

The compounds β and α-Himachalene present in cedar essential oil will stop hair loss and through their antimicrobial action purify the scalp and help eliminate dandruff.

Myrrh essential oil

Rich in sesquiterpenes, myrrh essential oil is anti-inflammatory and will therefore calm sensitive and irritated scalp and thus strengthen hair growth.

The right gestures to maximize the effect of synergy

The application of the synergy on the scalp will allow a direct action of essential oils. The associated massage ritual, which aims to move the scalp with the fingers, will maximize the chemical action of the essential oils by mechanically stimulating the sebaceous glands, the venous system and the lymphatic system.
